Denise Browning

Denise was born and raised in Brazil, where she worked for many years as a lawyer before marrying to an American and immigrating to the United States in 2002. Subsequently, she has become a Le Cordon Bleu-trained chef, cooking instructor, recipe and menu developer, and food writer with special expertise in global cuisine, including Brazilian. Denise also founded the former From Brazil To You, which grew to be one of the most successful English-language blogs dedicated to Brazilian cuisine. The blog featured Brazilian food recipes, stories, and photography of Brazil. Later on she broadened her focus to encompass cuisines from around the world, with an emphasis on healthy and easy meals on a budget, transforming her site into Easy and Delish. Her love for cooking global foods with a minimum amount of ingredients and with a healthy approach prompted her to write ‘The Complete 5-Ingredient Cookbook: 175 Easy Recipes for Busy People’ in 2020. It became an instant hit among Millenials! She believes that cooking should be approachable and affordable, and food should nourish both the body and soul. Her recipes have appeared in influential sites such as Food Network Canada, Food52, The Daily Meal, Parade, Country Living Magazine, Smithsonian Magazine, The United Nations, Taste of Home, and many others. She is happy to count among her previous clients famous national and international food brands, and even a critically-acclaimed restaurant in Brazil. Most recently, she also contributed to ‘The Cookbook in Support of the United Nations: For People and Planet.’ Denise lives in San Antonio, Texas with her husband and 2 children, juggling between motherhood and a full-time career… and embracing every piece of it!
