Step 1 Roll out your top crust to about the same size as your bottom crust … Step 2 … and slice into strips. Step 3 Lay a series of strips horizontally across the pie. Step 4 Fold every other strip back halfway … Step 5 … and lay a strip vertically next to the folded bits. Step 6 Unfold all the strips … Step 7 … and then fold back the ones that haven't been folded yet. Step 8 Lay another strip vertically … Step 9 … and unfold again. Step 10 Fold the first ones again. Step 11 Lay another strip vertically … Step 12 … and unfold. Then, keep going, "weaving the strips"… Step 13 … till the whole pie is covered. Step 14 Snip off the excess. Step 15 The end result is beautiful lattice.
