A Step-by-Step Guide

Here's how to get your dough from the counter to anywhere else like a champion.

Step 1

Roll your dough out a little bigger than your pan. 

Step 2

Roll the dough up around your rolling pin …

Step 3

… keeping the dough loose around the pin.

Step 4

Then, hold the pin over your pan …

Step 5

… and unroll your dough, leaving a generous overhang on all sides.

Step 6

Work your way around the rim of the plate …

… gently pressing the dough into place.

If you're planning a double-crust pie, crimp however you want. But if you're going single-crust, or using a tart pan …
